Links Golf Preparation

Parkland target golf doesn't work on the firm fescue of true links layouts. You must adapt your trajectory and short game.

Common Mistakes

  • Flying Wedges to the Pin: Use the ground. Putt from 30 yards out. If you must chip, use a 7-iron bump and run.
  • Fighting the Wind: Swing easy when it's breezy. A hard swing generates more spin, making the wind affect the ball more.

Next Steps

Review your distances in the Club Gapping tool. Check the Rain Gear Guide before departure.
